State-of-the-Art Care Close to Home
A man with chest pains. A child who gets sick in the middle of the night. The woman who has just been diagnosed with cancer. There are many reasons why you and your loved ones need quality health care that’s close by. And that’s why Kapi`olani Medical Center at Pali Momi is here.
While young in age, Pali Momi has delivered many firsts in health care for the Leeward community:
- Advanced Testing for Prompt Diagnosis: Kapi`olani is home to Leeward Oahu’s first 64-slice CT scanner and the community’s first permanent MRI—for the most advanced diagnostic tests.
- Cardiac Catherization Program: To address one of the community’s most prevalent health problems, heart disease, Pali Momi established its interventional cardiac catheterization program to diagnose and treat heart conditions for patients living in Leeward, Central and North Shore Oahu.
- Minimally Invasive Surgery: Pali Momi’s fully integrated Minimally Invasive Surgical Suite makes the latest advances in surgical treatment available to the Leeward community. Because these techniques disturb less muscle tissue and fewer nerves, there is less pain afterwards and patients recover more quickly. There are also cosmetic benefits with the much smaller incisions.
- State’s First Retina Center: The Retina Center at Pali Momi is the only center in Hawaii dedicated to the prevention and treatment of retinal diseases—the number one cause of blindness in the state. The Retina Center is recognized internationally as a leading clinical and research center.
- Dedicated Women’s Center: The Kapi`olani Women’s Center at Pali Momi offers diagnostic and treatment services, including an all digital mammography unit, in a beautiful, supportive setting. Our team of specially trained physicians, nurses and technologists offer diagnostic and treatment services for breast and bone health.
- More than 400 Affiliated Physicians: Pali Momi has a medical staff of more than 400 physicians, and through an adjoining medical office building, is home to more than 100 primary care and specialty positions to care for the entire family.
Located next to Pearlridge Center in Aiea, our 116-bed hospital with all private rooms and adjoining medical office building, provides all the services Leeward families need. We take pride in providing this advanced level of care for the convenience and safety of our patients.
